About Country Meadows Montessori School
Country Meadows Montessori School is a not for profit organization whose sole purpose over the last 40 years has been to help children develop to their potential through the educational principles of Dr. Maria Montessori. Our goal is to establish the prepared environment in each classroom with the Montessori certified teacher guiding the activity and offering your child the stimulation and the freedom to acquire "inner discipline" and the opportunity to develop and discover the person they carry within themselves.

"Our intervention in this marvelous process is indirect; we are here to offer this life, which came into the world by itself, the means necessary for it's development, and having done that we must await this development with respect."   M. Montessori

A Strong History
Mrs. Catherine Ozark, the founder of Country Meadows Montessori School, dedicated her career to the fostering of the Montessori tradition in the school and in the community. Her dedication to on-going training for interns and teachers and her commitment to teaching this tradition in the classroom over the last 40 years, has established Country Meadows Montessori School as one of the oldest most reputable Montessori schools in the area.

Accreditation
Since its formation in 1960, the American Montessori Society (AMS) has been the mainstay of the Montessori movement in the United States. AMS is a non-profit, non-discriminatory service organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting the use of the Montessori teaching approach in private and public schools. Over 9,000 strong, they are committed to furthering Montessori philosophy, making it a growing educational alternative, and promoting better education for all children regardless of age, socioeconomic status, or geographical location.
